An Interview with “Manifesting for Non-Gurus” Author Robert Macphee

Almost sleepless, working round-the-clock, and yet he still has smiles, hugs, and  much more to give. Robert Macphee, a sought after speaker and author, and Jack Canfield’s director for training, graciously sat down with me to share his wisdom and learnings during the Breakthrough to Success Seminar in Scottsdale, Arizona.

I was so impressed by this gentleman’s calmness and brilliance when he led the seminar attendees as Jack Canfield’s co-facilitator. He was also the mind behind IHUG, a practice that encourages all attendees to share the love and warmth by simply giving a friendly hug throughout the seven-day seminar. I couldn’t help but find out who he really was. At the end of one day’s session,  I seized the moment and asked if I can have few words with him. Watch the wealth of wisdom that he has to share here:

Macphee is the Founder and President of Heart Set, Inc. a company dedicated to helping people live the life of their dreams. He has worked closely with Jack Canfield for the past 10 years, most recently as the Director of Jack’s year long Platinum Inner Circle and Train the Trainer programs. Robert is also responsible for the staffing and logistics of all of Jack’s live training events and co-facilitates many of those events.

He recently penned the book “Manifesting for Non-Gurus”, an easy to read book designed to help people of all ages to quickly and easily attract the lasting results they really want.  A loving husband and father of three children, Robert is also a marathon runner who lives with his family in San Diego, California.

How to Achieve Breakthrough Results in Work and Life

America’s No. 1 Success Coach Jack Canfield, inspires Manila

His life and body of work testify a formula of success practiced over and over again from thoughts to the point of action. A global best-selling author, speaker, and famously called America’s Number One Success Coach, Jack Canfield inspired Manila and left lessons that impact people’s lives for the good.

“Be clear with your goals, take 100% responsibility of your life, and take action,” he stressed over and over again to over 200 participants at the ITD “Achieving Breakthrough Results in Work and Life” seminar in Manila, Philippines last September.

Jack Canfield inspiring Manila

As you may have read in my previous posts, Jack Canfield is one of my mentors. His lessons and inspiration are instrumental in writing my autobiographical book “The Tale of Juliet” and toured the globe sharing my story.

Since 2005, I have been one of his avid student and we were able to share a great friendship along with his wife Inga Canfield. In fact during the seminar, he graciously introduced me and allowed me to speak on stage in front of my fellow “kababayans” (countrymen). I am a believer of “Paying it forward” and I happily gifted a copy of “The Tale of Juliet” to all those who attended the event knowing that in many ways my story will inspire them to make their dreams come true.

Jack shared practical and actionable strategies to achieve success in life and here are some worth writing down:

You attract what you focus on. Take control of your mind:

1.      Start the day by being grateful.
2.      Focus on joy and love so you can create harmony with other people.
3.      Keep yourself in positive vibration – think happy thoughts.
4.      Give up complaining.
5.      Practice this with consistency and discipline.

Achieve success by making the Law of Attraction work for you:

1.      Ask what you want.
2.      Decide what you want.
3.      Get a clear vision of your goals.
4.      Believe that you can achieve your goals.
5.      Take action.

Act as If. Create the image and feelings of success:

1.      Be careful with your words, use “I can and I will”.
2.      Visualize yourself achieving your goals.
3.      Take control of your physical state.
4.      Act as if you are successful. Look and feel good inside out.
5.      Network with people: know those who can play in your team.

Jack ended the day by stressing on the importance of seeing beyond the  reality of our life – our present situation, what we have, our limitations. “Look past that perimeter and go farther. Use your vision
to produce what you want. Focus on what you would like to achieve. Believe that you can. Take action and make it happen,” he said.

Indeed, the last line of what he said is the tune that I sing in my life, and it works every time.
Make it work for you too.
